Infront to market 2019 Audi Cup with ZDF holding domestic rights
Infront, the Switzerland-based international sports marketing agency, has been awarded a comprehensive marketing contract for this year's Audi Cup, the biennial pre-season soccer tournament involving top European clubs.
Infront will be the exclusive media and marketing partner of the sixth Audi Cup, with the agency also set to provide LED perimeter boards. It also sold media rights to the 2017 edition.
Its remit excludes Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
ZDF, the public-service broadcaster in Germany, also announced today that is to show all four games from the Audi Cup, which will feature hosts Bayern Munich, plus Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Fenerbahçe.
ZDF will televise Real Madrid-Tottenham and Bayern-Fenerbahce on 30 July, followed the next day by the third-place play-off between the two losing teams and then the Audi Cup final.
Thomas Fuhrmann, ZDF sports director, said: "We are pleased to be able to show top European football in the closing stages of the season preparation and expect high-class sport."
ZDF showed the 2015 Audi Cup, while rival public-service broadcaster ARD had rights to the 2017 edition.
