Lagardère Sports adds H2K to eSports portfolio
Lagardère Sports, the international sports marketing agency, has added a fourth eSports team to its portfolio after striking a deal with H2K, the German-based eSports organisation.
Lagardère Sports will be tasked with exclusively marketing H2K’s sponsorship assets and expanding the team’s marketing opportunities.
The agency will also set up activation promotions and secure “thematic partnerships for the organisation.”
Last month, H2K was one of several German eSports organisations to join a new national eSports federation, ESport-Bundes Deutschland (ESBD).
Twenty teams, ESL, the promoter, and the German Games Industry Association teamed up to launch the body, which will work to promote eSports in Germany.
Lagardère Sports’ burgeoning eSports portfolio comprises eSports teams Unicorns of Love, USA-based Splyce and SK Gaming, as well as eSports organisation Team Roccat, video game publisher Super Evil Megacorp and promoter RFRSH Entertainment.
