Sports Marketing Surveys recently undertook the 20th Racket, Clothing and Equipment Census at the Wimbledon Championships.
Wilson was again the overall racket brand leader at Wimbledon this year, with 30% of players using a Wilson racket.
Head was the brand of choice in the Men’s Singles event, but Babolat dominated the Ladies’ Singles with over one quarter of competitors wielding a Babolat-branded weapon.
Nike remained the most popular brand of footwear at The Championships overall, with adidas and Lotto in second and third places respectively. Reebok has dropped to eighth place and was worn by less than 3% of players.
Men’s Singles champion Roger Federer played with a Wilson Racket and Nike apparel, while Maria Sharapova fought her way to Ladies’ Singles victory with a Prince racket and Nike apparel.
