Buy as you View, the electrical retailer specialising in coinmeter credit, today announced the renewal of its sponsorship package with Pontypridd RFC. This will be the 12th continuous year of sponsorship by the Llantrisant based company.

The sponsorship package of £400,000, which takes the company’s total annual rugby spend to £520,000, will enable the club to retain quality players with particular emphasis on developing future stars.

‘Renewal of our sponsorship is entirely a commercial decision. We are investing in an organisation which is moving forward in a pragmatic, cost-conscious way and we intend to do everything possible within the remit of our commercial agreement to support PRFC including encouraging our suppliers to identify themselves via advertising at Sardis Road.

Part of this new £400,000 package includes expansion of the company’s existing collaboration with the WRU for development of schools rugby in Rhondda Cynon Taff. The Buy as you View Rhondda Schools Rugby Initiative now employs four Development Officers to promote and develop the game at
grass roots level. This initiative is financed by the company with coaching sessions supported by the players at Pontypridd RFC. The WRU provide technical expertise, equipment and audit.
