Ironman, the worldwide organizing body behind triathlon endurance races, has entered into a five-year commercial deal with French sports and lifestyle apparel brand Salomon.

A multi-faceted, global tie-up was unveiled yesterday and will get underway in 2027, entailing Salomon becoming a global premier partner of the series and a title partner of select individual races.

One of the primary elements of the agreement will see Salomon become title sponsor of the renowned Ironman World Championship race in Kona, Hawaii.

In addition, title and presenting partner rights will extend across another seven Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events.

Added to this, Salomon now holds exclusive rights across "performance footwear, apparel, and technical bags" in the Ironman ecosystem, with both athletes and fans set to have access to Salomon co-branded products worldwide, at Ironman stores.

Scott DeRue, the Ironman Group's chief executive, commented: "This partnership is rooted in a commitment to serve athletes and help them pursue goals. Salomon's heritage, performance expertise, product innovation, and community-driven philosophy, make the brand a natural partner for Ironman."

Guillaume Meyzenq, Salomon's president, added: "For Salomon, joining forces with Ironman is a natural step and an opportunity to bring our performance expertise to one of the world's most committed endurance communities."

Another aspect of the deal will see Salomon granted naming rights to the run course at each Ironman event – the 'Salomon Run Course' will be the final discipline of each race.

Meanwhile, there will be activations conducted by Salomon athlete ambassadors Marjolaine Pierré, Julie Iemmolo and Casper Stornes (the reigning Ironman World Champion).

Salomon, in terms of its recent sports sponsorship activity, served as a second-tier partner of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Northern Italy earlier this year.

As part of the agreement, the brand supplied apparel, footwear, and accessories to the organizing committee of the games.

Ironman, meanwhile, extended and expanded its tie-up with the Precision Fuel & Hydration (PF&H) brand in late March.
