European volleyball’s CEV body has found a new title sponsor for its top-tier men’s Champions League club competition, with investment platform XTB stepping in to acquire naming rights for the tournament.

Spanning the 2026-27 and 2027-28 CEV Champions League campaigns, this deal will position XTB as the top-tier sponsor of the CEV’s elite annual competition.

This will naturally come with prominent branding presence across CEV Champions League operations, on-court visibility during games, broadcasts, digital and social media content, and more, with the pair collaborating on co-branded initiatives.

Speaking on the deal, CEV president Roko Sikirić said: “The involvement of an innovative brand such as XTB is a strong endorsement of the growing international profile and commercial appeal of the CEV Champions League Volley.

“We are delighted to welcome our partner and grateful for the trust they have placed in European Volleyball. This partnership will help us bring the competition closer to an even wider audience, create new opportunities to engage with our fans, and open up exciting new possibilities for digital and technological innovation across Europe and beyond.”

The most recent edition of the CEV Champions League was won by Italian side Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia, which also triumphed in the 2024-25 season.

XTB, which was founded in Poland, will likely benefit heavily from the strong presence of Polish teams in the competition, while Italy was one of the first foreign markets it moved into back in the 2010s, alongside the likes of Germany, Spain, France, and more.

Clubs from Italy and Poland have dominated the competition as of late, winning each of the last seven editions of the tournament, and indeed all 12 of the finalists going back to 2020-21 have been Polish or Italian, as well as seven of the 14 contestants of the third-placed game.

The last year that neither the final nor third-placed game featured a team from Italy or Poland was in 2005.

XTB’s burgeoning sports portfolio is primarily centered on the soccer market, where it sponsors Italian heavyweights SSC Napoli, Portuguese champions FC Porto, and most recently, France’s Olympique Lyonnais.

Elsewhere, it also sponsors the global basketball governing body FIBA, and is active in the mixed martial arts space.

Szymon Szymański, chief growth officer at XTB, added on the CEV deal: “We aim to be Europe’s premier investment platform. Volleyball is a valuable addition to our existing partnerships in MMA, football, and basketball. This partnership with the CEV elevates our brand visibility while deepening our bond with a passionate sports community.

“We are moving beyond traditional sponsorship to inspire fans to revolutionize how they engage with their personal finances. Together, we are setting a new standard for sports engagement, creating meaningful value that resonates far beyond the volleyball court.”
