The Latin American arm of US media giant Fox has announced a four-year renewal of its broadcast partnership with North American soccer governing body Concacaf in Mexico, retaining media rights to its top regional competitions.

Through the agreement, Fox channels will continue to broadcast the top Concacaf Champions Cup, as well as the regional Central American Cup and Caribbean Cup competitions, through the 2030 campaign.

Coverage will be disseminated across Fox’s linear pay-TV networks, the Fox+ bundle offering, as well as the Fox One OTT streaming service, which launched in the country in 2025.

Speaking on the agreement, Concacaf general secretary, Philippe Moggio, said: “The extension of our partnership with Fox reaffirms the strength of Concacaf’s club ecosystem and the value of having a strategic partner with extensive experience in the Mexican market.

“The Concacaf Champions Cup represents the highest expression of club football in our Confederation, while the Concacaf Central American Cup and the Concacaf Caribbean Cup are fundamental pillars of the development of our club football, and the pathway to the Champions Cup. Through Fox, we have a powerful platform to showcase our clubs on the global stage and bring these competitions closer to millions of fans throughout Mexico.”

No fewer than six Mexican Liga MX sides qualified for the Concacaf men’s Champions Cup in the current 2026 season, with a similar number gaining access each year.

The tournament was established in 1962 and ran in its original incarnation with several format changes through 2008, when it was retitled the Concacaf Champions League. It then returned to its Concacaf Champions Cup moniker ahead of the 2024 edition.

Since 2024, the tournament has been won by Mexican clubs Pachuca (2024) and Cruz Azul (2025), and throughout its history has been dominated by Mexican sides, who have won 40 of the 60 editions, failing to win only once since 2006.

The Concacaf competitions complement Fox’s wide-ranging suite of sports rights in the country, bringing together over 2,000 events each year, alongside original productions including ancillary programming and shoulder content around these rights.

The broadcaster's rights portfolio includes soccer from Mexico’s top-flight Liga MX, England’s Premier League, the pan-European UEFA Champions League, France’s Ligue 1, and more, as well as women’s soccer from Mexico’s Liga MX Femenil, England’s Women’s Super League, France’s Premiere Ligue, and Italy’s Serie A Femminile.

Outside of soccer, Fox also holds the rights for baseball’s Liga Mexicana de Beisbol and Liga Mexicana del Pacifico, motorsports series such as the World Rally Championship, Formula E, World Endurance Championship, Extreme H, and the Nascar Mexico Series, and other niche offerings such as American football’s UFL and padel’s Pro Padel League.
