Cybersecurity firm Fortinet has strengthened its presence in golf after renewing its partnership with the DP World Tour for another three years.
Under the new agreement, Fortinet will continue as the tour’s official cybersecurity partner until 2028, having led its digital transformation since its original deal, struck in 2022.

Fortinet provides the tour with its cybersecurity solutions to protect player, fan, and stakeholder data across tournaments and its digital platforms, including the use of its FortiSASE platform.
As part of its renewal, Fortinet will introduce the Fortinet Security Operations (SecOps) platform, enabling advanced threat detection, automation, and AI-powered response, while the tour will gain access to Fortinet’s Training Institute to educate employees on cybersecurity.
Michael Cole, Chief Technology Officer at the DP World Tour, added: “The Tour has invested in a wide range of digital products, utilizing the vast array of data points that we collect during each round that keep fans up to date at all times.
“As technology advances quicken, we see the landscape of cyber threats gathering pace too, and our extended partnership with Fortinet will enable us to further assess new capabilities and ensure we remain proactive in assessing our needs and enhancing our cyber protection."

By GlobalDataThe renewal will also see Fortinet retain its visibility across the tour through its Threat Score, which showcases the field’s average score to par on a hole, which will continue across global broadcasts and the tour’s website and social media channels.
As an official marketing partner, Fortinet branding will continue to feature at high-profile events, while the company will become an official partner to six tournaments on the tour’s calendar.
The renewal deepens Fortinet’s presence in golf, having struck a new deal with US golf’s Ladies PGA Tour earlier this year to become the title sponsor of the annual Founders Cup.
Fortinet also previously sponsored the Procore Championship event on the men’s PGA Tour between 2021 and 2023, and in 2024 sponsored both the Truist Championship and Houston Open events.
