English Premier League soccer side Brentford has unveiled Spanish sportswear brand Joma as its new kit supplier to replace outgoing UK firm Umbro.

Under the multi-year deal, Joma will supply kits for Brentford’s men’s and women’s first teams, the reserve men’s team and academy, as well as coaching staff, beginning in July 2025.

Marina Lopez, managing director of Joma Sport, said the deal “represents a fundamental step for Joma Sport in the English football scene.”

The Joma brand has been absent from the Premier League since the 2021-22 season, when it supplied kits to Norwich City, which now plays in the second-tier Championship.

Joma still has a partnership with Norwich City, as well as fellow Championship side Swansea City.

The brand has a growing portfolio across European soccer, providing kits to Spain’s Villareal, Getafe, and Leganes; Italy’s Hellas Verona, Torino, and Atalanta; Germany’s Hoffenheim; Belgium’s Anderlecht; and France’s Le Havre.

Joma also has deals in place with national teams such as Romania, Cuba, and Honduras, as well as prominent international clubs such as Atlante and Venados in Mexico, HNK Rijeka in Croatia, Paços Ferreira in Portugal, and Carlos Barbosa in Brazil, among others.

Brentford’s commercial director Fran Jones said: “We are delighted to welcome Joma as our new official kit partner. From our very first conversation, there was a clear alignment between us. Their bespoke approach to design was also a key part of their proposal.”

Notably, Brentford has decided not to enlist British sportswear brand Castore as their new kit sponsor, which supplied the club for the 2024-25 season as part of a professional team sports sub-licensing deal with the club’s current kit provider, Umbro.

That deal, struck with Umbro licensee GL Dameck, allows Castore to market the Umbro brand in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark.

The sub-license saw Castore given the exclusive right to seek work with Umbro’s Premier League team partners, including AFC Bournemouth, Brentford, Luton Town, and West Ham United, as well as second-tier English Football League clubs Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, and Forest Green Rovers.

Castore also supplied, under the Umbro brand, to Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, where Castore is already the kit supplier to Rangers, and England Rugby men’s and women’s teams.
