
World Table Tennis (WTT), the commercial vehicle of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) governing body, has secured new partnerships with Asian online gaming company 188Bet and Chinese bottled water brand Ganten ahead of the inaugural WTT Champions event.
Its deal with 188Bet will see the gaming company serve as the official international betting partner of the event, which starts today (July 18) and runs until July 23.
The event, held in Budapest, Hungary, will feature individual men’s and women’s tournaments.
188Bet will gain advertising opportunities on the field of play and exclusive social media activations around the event, which forms part of the WTT European Summer Series.
Raphael Chen, head of partnership sales in Asia-Pacific for WTT, said: “This is a partnership with several ‘firsts’ – the first WTT Champions event and WTT’s first online gaming partner.
“We look forward to a fruitful and innovative partnership with this reputable company.”

WTT’s deal with Ganten announced today (July 18) will see the water brand become WTT’s seventh global premium partner.
Under the deal, Ganten will supply hydration products at several events, starting with today’s WTT Championships, as well as the WTT Grand Smashes, WTT Cup Finals, and the ITTF World Table Tennis Championship Finals.
Matt Pound, WTT managing director, said: “I am delighted to welcome Ganten to our partnership family. It is a highly respected and recognized brand with the highest quality standards.
“Premium hydration is a key component of the sport and the players’ performance. We are tremendously excited to embark on this long-term journey with Ganten.”
Last month, Enlio became the official flooring supplier of the WTT in a three-year deal running from 2022 to 2024 covering selected WTT Grand Smashes, WTT Cup Finals, and WTT Champions events, as well as the World Table Tennis Championship Finals, and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Enlio has a long-standing relationship with the ITTF, having been a sponsor of the federation since 2013.
Earlier this month, Li-Ning, the renowned Chinese sportswear brand, became the exclusive apparel partner of WTT as part of a partnership extension with the body.
