England’s Rugby Football Union and Honda have today announced a multifaceted, long-term partnership that sees the Japanese car brand become the performance partner and official vehicle of England Rugby.

Honda’s logo will appear on the playing and training kits of England’s under-18 and under-20 teams, and it has also become the principal partner of the England Rugby senior men’s training centre, which will be renamed the Honda England Rugby Performance Centre.

The Japanese car giant will also provide an official fleet of vehicles for England Rugby and its employees, with a specific focus on sustainability.

Additional support will be provided for community rugby, with Honda becoming the title sponsor of the RFU’s Rugby Grounds Connected programme, and for volunteering in the grassroots game through the Honda Volunteer Recognition Programme.

Elsewhere, Honda will also activate its sponsorship through its motorcycle, ATV, lawn and garden products.

The brand joins RFU’s extensive list of partners, that includes O2, British Airways, Umbro, Allianz, Guinness, IBM, Irwin Mitchell, Charles Tyrwhitt, Dove Men+Care, Gilbert, Simplyhealth, Adidas, Bollinger, CBRE, Britvic, Majestic Wine, Optimum Nutrition, Rhino, Bremont and Red Bull.
