US carrier Delta Air Lines has renewed and expanded its sponsorship of Crypto.com Arena, home of the three Los Angeles-based professional ice hockey and basketball teams.

The agreement, struck with the facility’s owner Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) having been brokered by its AEG Global Partnerships division, sees Delta retain its designations as founding partner of Crypto.com Arena and the official airline carrier of Crypto.com Arena and the National Hockey League's (NHL) LA Kings.

In addition, AEG has acquired naming entitlement to the facility’s recently renovated Chairman’s Club hospitality space, which will now be known commercially as the Delta Sky360° Club.

Delta will continue to benefit from indoor and outdoor signage in and around the venue.

The new deal sees Delta continue a partnership with Crypto.com Arena that began in 2011.

As well as the Kings, the venue is the home of basketball’s Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers of the NBA and Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA.

International cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com acquired the naming rights to the arena, formerly known as Staples Center, in 2021 through a 20-year, $700-million deal.

Among the arena’s other partners are American Express, Bud Light, Coca-Cola, Mobilitie, Spectrum, Toshiba, Toyota, UCLA Health, and Yaamava.

Russell Silvers, co-chief operating officer at AEG Global Partnerships, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the relationship we’ve grown with Delta over the years as well as the positive impact we’ve been able to make both at our venues and across the LA Kings.

“Together we have created a dynamic and successful partnership that not only showcases the best of both of our brands and what we have to offer but more importantly allows the people we both serve in Southern California and beyond to be the real benefactors of the many benefits and enhanced fan experiences our unique relationship brings to them.”

Scott Santoro, vice president of global sales at Delta Air Lines, added: “Delta is proud to be LA’s largest premium global carrier and with the support of partners like AEG, we will continue to provide best-in-class offerings to Angelinos and LA sports fans worldwide.”
