The organizers of next year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK, have announced the addition of two new providers and a supplier to its sponsorship portfolio.
The providers are MTD, the water solutions company, and SLX, the hire and events company.
As the games’ official temporary water infrastructure provider, MTD will provide the design, implementation, maintenance, and dismantling stages of all water installations at 24 venues, including competition, non-competition, training locations, and three athlete villages.
SLX has been named as the official broadcast lighting provider, a role that will see the company provide over 2,000 LED fixtures.
Meanwhile, Butterfly, the table tennis equipment manufacturer, has been named as the official supplier of table tennis equipment, which will include its rollaway table and R40 Star ball.
The games, which will see around 4,500 athletes from 72 nations, are set to take place across 14 venues from July 28 to August 8, 2022.
