Wrigley To Sponsor ITMS Sports Tennis Event

Frankfurt, Germany. April 18, 2005 – Organizers of the international junior tournament held in conjunction with the BMW Open in Munich, have announced a sponsorship agreement with the Wrigley Company. Under the agreement, Wrigley’s Eclipse brand will serve as the title sponsor for the “Eclipse Challenge Cup”, a junior invitational event featuring eight of the very best junior tennis players from Europe.

The “Eclipse Challenge Cup”, held during the ATP’s BMW Open in Munich April 29 – May 1, primarily focuses on supporting junior tennis’ development in Europe. The tournament also presents spectators with a wonderful opportunity to discover some of the game’s future stars. A concept that convinced Wrigley to sponsor the junior invitational tournament in only its second year.

“The Wrigley Company has a strong reputation of supporting youth and developing talent,” said Kai Panholzer, Managing Director of Wrigley Germany. “We are therefore delighted to serve as title sponsor for the Eclipse Challenge Cup.”

“We are excited to form this new corporate partnership with Wrigley,” said George Pascal, Executive Director of tournament organizer ITMS Sports. “Being able to secure a title sponsor in
only the event’s second year is exciting for us and a fantastic endorsement for our concept.”

The idea behind the “Eclipse Challenge Cup” came out of a dialogue shortly before last year’s ATP tour event between BMW Open Tournament Director Rudi Berger and Pascal on how to best support tennis in Europe.
