Spanish driver Luis Climent will drive for Skoda in the 2000 World Rally Championship. The former Spanish champion will partner German veteran Armin Schwarz in the two works Skoda Octavia WRCs next season. Climent entered 10 rounds of the 1999 championship – first in a Mitsubishi and then a Subaru – and scored four top 10 finishes. Skoda motorsport team manager Pavel Janeba, ‘He’s a very ambitious driver and has already shown plenty of potential at the highest level.’
