International Sportsworld Communicators have retained The Sports Recruitment Company to find a new Sponsorship Director for the FIA World Rally Championships, for which they are the global media and commercial rights holders.

The role, open due to the recent departure of Richard Heaselgrave to UEFA, is to focus on attracting partners, building and deepening relationships and developing sponsorship packages to suit partners needs.

Simon Long, Managing Director of ISC commented “Whilst we are sad to see Richard go and wish him all the very best in his new role, this now gives us the opportunity to recruit some fresh talent and ideas into ISC.  Developing relationships with partners is now a key focus for our organisation and having made a significant investment in developing the television platform in recent years, we have an excellent, exciting product with a truly global reach”.

Chris King, Director at The Sports Recruitment Company adds to this “WRC has come along way as a product since ISC took control of the global media and commercial rights and the sport now has a lot to offer sponsors, particularly those looking to target a global male audience.”  He also adds, “ISC is a rare employer in sport; they empower staff to take responsibility for their actions, offer staff a truly global experience of working in a sport, and are an exciting and developing business that’s now moving into profitability.”

Current relationships with WRC include global brands Sony PlayStation, Lucozade and Puma.  ISC are in the process of talking to various other potential partners for the sport and if you’d like more information on how WRC could deliver value for a brand then please contact Ben Jesse at ISC.
