The company with exclusive responsibility for the host broadcast of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Host Broadcast Services (HBS), has announced the first World Broadcasters Meeting.

The meeting, which will take place in Yokohama, Japan on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 April 2001, is being organised in conjunction with the two organising committees – JAWOC in Japan and KOWOC in Korea. FIFA is also participating in the meeting.

Invitations to the official meeting will be issued in due course to broadcast partners by Prisma Sports & Media (European broadcasters) and ISL Television Ltd. (all broadcasters outside of Europe).
