Lausanne, Switzerland, March 18, 2015 – WISE – Work In Sports Exhibition is proud to announce a renewed academic partnership with CIES (International Centre for Sports Studies), an independent and international study centre located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, for the Convention’s second edition to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 6-7 May 2015.
Through this partnership, CIES and WISE will benefit from their mutual international network of partners. Additionally, CIES has been constantly providing expertise and strategic advice for the set-up of the Convention’s Forum programme.
As part of the collaboration, there will be this year again, on May 5, 2015, an opening night presented by CIES – including a presentation followed by a round table – with sport industry celebrities as well as local politicians on the following topic :
"Olympic Agenda 2020 : towards a new bidding model for the Olympic Games?"

In addition to this, CIES will also be presenting an "Entrepreneurship Workshop" on May 6 2015 during the WISE Convention.
This session will be delivered by the FIFA Master Alumni (FMA), of which an increasing number have begun to launch their own businesses and ventures.
This talk is likely to be of interest to anyone looking to start their own business or become self-employed in the sports industry either now or in the future. Here, among others, the theme of sport entrepreneurship and explanations of what it means in terms of possible careers (e.g. start-up founder vs. contractor vs consultant vs social entrepreneur) and the relevance/importance of entrepreneurship and innovation to the sports industry will be introduced.

The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) is an independent study centre located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It was created in 1995 as a joint venture between the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the University of Neuchâtel, the City and State of Neuchâtel.
