For many years, the WIGE DATA GmbH and the Swiss Timing AG successfully cooperated in the sports timing area. This cooperation has now resulted in WIGE DATA GmbH being taken over by the renowned Swatch Group. In the future, the two Leipzig based companies, WIGE DATA and WIGE INNOVATION, as well as WIGE MIC LIBEREC (Czech Republic), will be at their customers’ disposal as part of Swiss Timing AG. With immediate effect, customers can rely on the added benefits Swatch Group’s subsidiary has gained in the past three decades as timing partner of the Olympics.

A cooperation deal ensures that WIGE MEDIA can also fall back on the entire service range of its previous subsidiaries, in the future. The motor racing timing and data services will remain a part of the WIGE MEDIA AG. This traditional WIGE business area will be handled from a subsidiary company based in Nürburgring.
