VeloNews to Sponsor US Cycling’s Pro Cycling Tour
NORRISTOWN, PA (March 15, 2004) – The Pro Cycling Tour (PCT) announced today an agreement with VeloNews as a sponsor of the 2004 Pro Cycling Tour and its events in Philadelphia, New York City, Vail, and San Francisco. As a PCT media partner, VeloNews, the journal of competitive cycling, will receive prominent visibility and co-branded media opportunities at Pro Cycling Tour events.

The Pro Cycling Tour kicks off the week of June 1-6 with the Wachovia Cycling Series which includes the 20th anniversary of the Wachovia USPRO Cycling Championship in Philadelphia, followed by the BMC Software New York City Cycling Championship, August 1; The PCT Rocky Mountain Classic at Vail, Colorado, September 3-5, and culminates with The T-MOBILE INTERNATIONAL, presented by BMC Software in San Francisco, September 12. Five-time Tour de France champion, Lance Armstrong, will compete in both the Vail and San Francisco events alongside his teammates on the U.S. Postal Service Team.
