Soccerex is delighted and privileged to announce that FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke will be opening the Soccerex Global Convention in Rio de Janeiro, 24-28 November.

As Secretary General, Mr Valcke is responsible for organising the FIFA World CupTM and has played an important role in overseeing Brazil’s preparations. During his latest trip in Brazil he commented that preparations for the tournament were ‘right on track’.

Mr Valcke will be joined in the opening ceremony by CBF President and 2014 LOC Chairman José Maria Marin and the Brazilian Minister of Sport, Aldo Rebelo.

Commenting on his involvement, Jerome Valcke said:
“I am delighted to be involved with Soccerex again at this year’s Global Convention. The event provides an important platform for the industry to get together, discuss best practice and engage with one another. Brazil is in a special moment with the world’s biggest football event on the horizon and I think it is important that Soccerex are there too.”
