UFA Sports and Iceland Soccer Extend TV Rights Deal

UFA Sports and the Icelandic Football Federation (KSI) prolonged their marketing contract before its initial end in 2002 by 4 more years. In the context of this prolongation, the contract which has existed for more than eight years, was supplemented by considerable components.

In addition to the exclusive worldwide marketing of the TV and advertising rights of the Icelandic national team and the U 21, the rights package will contain the entire range of media rights of the Icelandic Football Top-League and the National-Cup and National-League-Cup. Furthermore, UFA SPORTS will market the naming right of the Top-League.

‘We are very glad to have reached a prolongation of the contract with UFA Sports after intense negotiations’ summarizes Eggert Magnusson, President of the KSI. ‘For eight years, the co-operation has proven trusting and successful. We are looking forward to a further four years.’
