The TT Circuit Assen will host the Dutch round of motorcycling’s FIM Endurance World Championship until 2006, after signing a three-year agreement with Championships promoter FGSPORT.
The Endurance race at the TT Circuit Assen will take place on Easter Monday for the next three successive years. The Assen Round has also been included in the 2004 provisional calendar as the opening round of the season on April 12th.
The agreement further underlines the TT Circuit Assen’s premier role within motorcycling, as the only circuit to host all three motorcycling’s FIM World Road Racing Championships.
Mr. Jos Vaessen, President of the TT Circuit Assen said: ‘As the TT Circuit Assen is one of the most famous motorcycle venues since 1925, we want to have all road race world championship events in our annual calendar.’
Vincenzo Lamaro, Managing Director of FGSPORT added: ‘Following this year’s first Endurance event at the TT Circuit Assen, we are pleased to secure the three-year deal and return to such a prestigious venue. The agreement confirms the continued growth of Endurance and adds value to recent developments.’
