The City of Moncton has appointed TSE Consulting to develop a strategy for identifying, attracting, and hosting major events over the next 15 years, as well as an action plan for its implementation.

Moncton has established an impressive record of staging successful events, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup, Canada 2015; FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Canada 2014; 2010 IAAF World Junior Track & Field Championships; and, Canadian national championships in important Olympic sports like athletics (2013 and 2014) and figure skating (2012). These milestone accomplishments have produced substantial impact locally, domestically, and internationally.

TSE Consulting will work to support the efforts of the City of Moncton and its constituents to develop a dynamic and long-term strategy aimed at delivering important events to Moncton.  As part of the process, key stakeholders will identify priority sports that have historic traditions, local technical expertise, strong volunteer support and outstanding venues, recognizing the importance of focused and strategic efforts to win events in these primary sports.

“The City of Moncton has an outstanding track record in attracting and staging important events, and we are pleased to collaborate with TSE Consulting in the development of a longterm event attraction strategy that engages and inspires our community,” explained Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold. “TSE will offer us guidance, perspective, and experience to take Moncton to the next level of success.”

Lars Haue-Pedersen, Managing Director of TSE Consulting, added: “The City of Moncton is an amazing success story, with recent IAAF and FIFA events that demonstrate its capability to activate and engage the community in a very special way. TSE is pleased to assist and support its efforts to expand its event portfolio and to continue to attract major events over the next decade that will produce economic vitality, volunteer activation, and participant satisfaction.”
