18-year old Tekkyu Kayo will take par in the 500cc Cinzano Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland as stand-in rider for injured Yoshiteru Konishi in the F.C.C. TSR Team. Konishi was operated last week in Japan from his right hand injury sustained during the Dutch TT.

‘I did not expect the chance could come that early. I will try hard and hope to learn a lot from this weekend’, said the Japanese rookie after the announcement. Toru Furuyama, F.C.C TSR Team manager defined Kayo as ‘a boy with talent that may be a full time GP rider soon in any team’.
