Between 21 August and 25 August 2000, over 230 horses will arrive in Australia to begin a two-week quarantine period before they compete in the equestrian events of the Games.

To keep everyone informed on the arrival of horses, venue access rules and the logistics involved in flying them to Australia for the Games, a comprehensive Media Briefing will be held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. This briefing will explain the strict media access rules that will apply to these horses both at the Sydney Airport and at the venue. The briefing will be followed by a comprehensive tour of the equestrian venue and its facilities.
