AMP has become Surrey County Cricket Club’s new sponsor for the 2002 cricket season extending an already successful partnership.
AMP already has exclusive naming rights to the world’s oldest test match ground. This further deal has been struck to support ongoing and future activities at Surrey County Cricket Club.
‘We are now one year in to our five-year term at the AMP Oval and are delighted at the way our partnership has developed. This further marketing partnership reinforces our commitment both to cricket as a sport and Surrey County Cricket Club as a team and offers a great opportunity to further raise the profile of the AMP brand in the UK,’ said Tom Fraser, Managing Director of AMP’s UK Financial Services.
He added: ‘Where possible we will be looking to use this partnership with the players and staff of Surrey CCC to help develop and support AMP’s ongoing community programmes, particularly our work with the national charity, Kids’ Clubs Network. AMP has been working with Kid’s Clubs since 1998, helping to create more than 7,200 safe places for children out of school hours.’
Paul Sheldon, Chief Executive of Surrey County Cricket Club, stated: ‘We have thoroughly enjoyed the way our working relationship has gone over the last year and look forward to seeing it develop even further over the coming years.’
