Morton Grove, IL – June 26, 2001 – STATS, Inc., the world’s leading sports information provider, announced today that it is the Official Statistician of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league. The term of the agreement is three years starting with the inaugural 2001 season that began play on June 7.

As MLL’s official statistician, STATS, Inc. is responsible for providing the full requisite of game day needs to MLL teams, media members and broadcasters. Additionally, STATS will perform the league’s day-to-day duties updating team transactions and databasing the history of the league while making all pertinent information available to the MLL front office, clubs and media. STATS will rely upon the backbone of a proven, fault-tolerant systematic approach to data collection that has led the sports information industry for the last 20 years.

STATS will provide complete post-game box scores, updated team and player statistics and updated standings via e-mail to all media members covering MLL. Further, STATS will update all player, team and league statistics and make those updates available for the league’s official web site (majorleaguelacrosse.com) on a daily basis. During each MLL contest STATS will be relied upon to provide in-progress statistical updates.

STATS, Inc. is the exclusive licensor to all media outlets, Internet portals and television broadcasters utilizing MLL statistics and information for commercial use.
