The Hamburg based sports marketing and consulting company Global Sportnet has acquired a further top-class client in the field of sponsorship consulting.

As of 2002, all sport sponsoring activities within Europe of Hörmann KG, the leading German manufacturer of home and garage doors, industrial door systems, operators and control units, will be coordinated and handled by Global Sportnet.

Hörmann and Global Sportnet are looking back to a successful cooperation on an international basis and from now on, Global Sportnet will also be responsible for the budget for sponsoring activities within Germany.

Already in December 2001, Global Sportnet coordinated the appearance of Hörmann on the rotating panel system during the relegation matches to the qualification for the World Cup 2002 between Germany and Ukraine. The main focus of future activities will remain to be football.

In this context, also the co-operation with the Deutscher Fussball Bund (DFB – the German football association) will be continued in the World Cup year 2002.
