Premium TV, the end-to-end digital media business, has secured SEGA and Sports Interactive’s Football Manager 2005 as exclusive sponsor of its live, online audio football match commentary and stats console, MatchLive.

MatchLive is found within the ‘World’ channel of Premium TV’s 83-strong network of official club websites (Wolves World, Newcastle World etc) and gives fans unlimited access to live commentary of all domestic fixtures. In
addition MatchLive broadcasts real-time statistics, goal updates and ‘vidi-printer’ text commentary for all fixtures across Premier League, The Coca-Cola Championship, Coca-Cola Leagues 1 and 2; the Scottish Premier League; Nationwide Conference; Carling Cup; FA Cup; and LDV Vans Trophy.

The sponsorship, which runs until the end of the season, will see Football Manager 2005 ads and messaging permanently placed on the downloadable MatchLive console. Premium TV’s World channels have nearly 50,000 paying
subscribers who regularly log on for live audio commentary,
broadband-streamed news, interviews, features and goal action.

In addition, the Football Manager 2005 logo will be incorporated into high-impact banner, button and skyscraper ads that Premium TV uses everyday to promote MatchLive across its network of 83 sites. The network has 1.8 million registered football fans who together generate a million page impressions every day.

SEGA and Sports Interactive will tap into this dedicated fan and subscriber base with a series of high-profile online promotions and game giveaways throughout the season. Banner and skyscraper ads on every club site will
support these promotions and giveaways.

The deal was arranged by Louise Gaynor at media agency Target NMI and Nick Fisher at Premium TV.
