Scotland squad for the Credit Suisse First Boston Hong Kong Sevens from Friday 24 March – Sunday 26 March Graeme Burns (Edinburgh Reivers) Alec Clark (Melrose) James Craig (Glasgow Caledonians) Gareth Flockhart (Glasgow Caledonians) Stuart Lang (Edinburgh Reivers) Mark Lee (Edinburgh Reivers) Ian McInroy (Glasgow Caledonians) Scott Nichol (Melrose) Nick Penny (Watsonians) CAPTAIN Jon Petrie (Glasgow Caledonians) Marcus Di Rollo (Edinburgh Reivers) Adam Roxburgh (Kelso) Manager – Arthur Hastie Coach – Andrew Ker Doctor/physiotherapist – James Robson Scotland will compete in the Europe 2 Qualifying Tournament for the Rugby World Cup 2001 Sevens. The Europe 2 competition will be staged in Madrid on July 1 and 2. The top three teams from the 16 team event will qualify for the 24-team RWC 2001 Sevens in Mar del Plata, Argentina from January 26-28. Teams competing in Madrid are Andorra, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine. In all, 91 countries – the full membership of the IRB – will have a chance to qualify for the 2001 RWC Sevens
