Saracens today revealed Reebok, one of the three truly global sports manufacturing brands, as having signed a two year deal to take Saracens to new heights. The partnership not only involves the joint development of exciting and technically advanced playing and training kit, but is a multi-level deal which includes:

  • the promotion of rugby union at a community level
  • the supporting of future rugby talent – which is signified by the individual support of Ben Skirving, a very exciting back row prospect
  • the exploitation of joint marketing opportunities such as Saracens’ tour to Japan
  • Reebok see rugby as a key sport in the UK and Europe and bring with them great experience from their strong partnership with the Welsh National Team.

Gareth Davies, Reebok UK Sports Marketing Manager was delighted to be making the announcement: ‘We see Saracens as a prime club for our portfolio. Even despite recent inconsistencies on the pitch they are one of the best supported clubs in Europe, therefore there’s a huge potential for growth. We feel there is a lot of symmetry in what our businesses are trying to achieve.’

Saracens MD Tim Lawler was equally enthused: ‘To be the best you need to align with good, strong partners and that is something we have always been keen to build towards.’

The new jersey will be launched simultaneously in August at the Middlesex 7s and on the Japanese Tour and those season ticket holders eligible for their money off voucher will be the first to be able to buy it at a special event planned for late August. Saracens are the only club rugby side in partnership with Reebok.
