Soccerex is delighted and honoured to announce that England Manager Roy Hodgson, FA General Secretary Alex Horne and Club England Managing Director and Director of Communications Adrian Bevington will be attending and speaking at the Soccerex Global Convention in Rio de Janeiro, 24-28 November.

The decision to send three of the most important figures in English football to the Soccerex Global Convention highlights the commitment The FA is making towards their preparations in the build up to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM in Brazil.

Roy Hodgson is the current England manager, 2010 League Managers Association, ‘Manager of the Year’ and former manager of Switzerland, UAE, Internazionale, Udinese, Malmo, Fulham, Liverpool and West Brom.

Alex Horne, General Secretary of The FA, is one of the world’s most experienced football administrators having taken up multiple roles within The FA including Finance Director, Managing Director of Wembley Stadium, Chief Operating Officer as well as the executive lead on the St. George’s Park development.

Adrian Bevington, Club England Managing Director and Director of Communications, has been at the heart of the FA communication process since 1997. Having worked on all of England’s media relations for the last 4 FIFA World Cup’s he has gained a vast amount of experience and expertise.

Commenting on his involvement Adrian Bevington said:
“It is great to be involved with Soccerex again and to be speaking at this year’s Global Convention. It is a great opportunity for me to share my experiences in working with the media, at the past four World Cups but also to meet with my counterparts from across the industry and build the FA’s global network.”

The Soccerex Global Convention is a five day business event consisting of a comprehensive seminar line-up, a number of networking opportunities, a two-day football festival and a packed exhibition which is already close to selling out.

Held in a purpose-built venue within the Forte de Copacabana, with panoramic views of both the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the exhibition is a hub for business activity; as one of the main components of the convention it provides a platform for leading suppliers from around the world to showcase the latest industry products and services to delegates.
