The new Racecourse Association (RCA) website is launched today.  It has been revamped and renamed to better reflect the RCA’s function and enables search engines to locate the site more easily in order to encourage more potential racegoers to the site.

The new site retains the familiar fixture, special events and sponsorship information, but now has improved navigational features and includes the RCA’s monthly newsletter, Update.

Racegoers will be able to do a postcode search for their 10 nearest racecourses, (providing details on travel distances, date of next meeting and racecourse contact details) and will find an interactive map showing the current day’s meetings, and a future fixture search capability.

For the first time Update, the RCA’s monthly newsletter, historically circulated in hard copy to the racecourses and other industry bodies, will be available on the website.  Interested parties will be able to find out about the RCA’s activities in every area and its involvement in industry issues.  Readers will be able to do a key word search and look up archived articles.

RCA’s Communications Executive Mary-Ann Sandercock said:  “The new website will help open up racing to more and more people, as well as raising awareness of the RCA’s role and activities in the industry. We hope it will soon become an indispensable source of information not only to all racegoers but also the racing industry.”
