The waiting is over. It has been a long journey across Europe, Russia, Asia and the Arabian Gulf. The World’s best Waterski and Wakeboard athletes from eleven countries are now preparing in Doha, Qatar, for the hectic schedule which will decide who will become the 2004 World Cup champions. Depending on local weather conditions, the programme is as follows :

SATURDAY, December 11th
10.00 am Slalom Finals
11.00 am Jump Finals
12.00 am Wakeboard Semi-Finals
14.00 pm Trick Finals
15.00 pm Wakeboard Finals

Tonight the temperature has dropped to 20C / 68Fh along the Doha coastline and should rise to 22C / 74Fh over the coming days. Some rain showers are also predicted and the light northerly breeze is expected to drop to 7km/h – 4mph over the weekend. By Saturday evening, the new specially created crystal World Cup Trophies will be in the hands of the 2004 Champions. The best always rise to the occasion but surprises cannot be ruled out. These Qatar Finals will bring the biggest Waterski and Wakeboard competition ever organized by the International Waterski Federation to an exciting conclusion with the full support of MasterCraft, Official Towboat sponsor, the Qatar Marine Sports Federation and Aspire, the Academy for Sports Excellence.
