PRISM, WPP’s sports marketing and sponsorship arm, has been named as Land Rover’s global sponsorship agency. The multi-year deal is for the creation and execution of a yet-to-be-announced global activity to connect with current and future Land Rover customers.
‘We received some excellent presentations,’ said Peter Low, General Manager of Land Rover Global Marketing’s 3D Experience team. ‘PRISM won out not simply on the basis of their passion for our products and their understanding of our industry, but primarily for their creative concepts and their blend of approachability matched with professionalism.’
PRISM was among six agencies pitching for the Land Rover global sponsorship agency business.
‘Land Rover is an iconic brand that is really going places and the enthusiasm and passion that our global team put into this process is indicative of our desire to work with such an adventurous group,’ said Brian Greenwood, managing director of PRISM UK, who led the pitch team.
The Land Rover win continues a series of victories for PRISM in 2001, including the awarding of Shell’s Formula 1 public relations account and the securing of the $16.5 million official brewery sponsorship of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games on behalf of Heineken.
The PRISM Group has offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, United States and Australia.
