GIRO D’ITALIA CYCLING EVENT
Tuesday 21 October – from 04:15pm to 04:45pm

A 100 year-old idea – and even more – as the cycling Giro d’Italia has no
intention to come to a halt with the Centennial edition, to be held from May 9
to May 31, 2009.

For almost one century, the event organized by the Gazzetta dello Sport gives the beat in springtime to
the lives of all cycling sport fans in Italy and around the world.

A cycling event that has known a constant growth in audience rates; in 2008, for its three-week
duration, 250 million viewers all over the world followed this great show through various media.
The Centennial edition of the Giro promises to be an epoch-making event and its audience should reach
by far the number of 142 countries of this year’s edition.
