Octagon Opens New Office in Portugal

London, UK; 16 October 2003:- Octagon has announced the opening of a new office in Portugal, which will operate as part of its Spanish operations, Octagon Esedos.

The Octagon Esedos office, located in Lisbon, represents the growing portfolio of business that the Spanish operation has established in the Portuguese market in the lead-up to Euro 2004.

Filipa Andre has been appointed as General Manager and will report directly to Joan Cusco, CEO, Octagon Esedos Spain. Ms Andre has extensive experience in sports marketing and event management having worked with clients such as Mercedes Benz, Galp, the Lisbon Tourist Office and Telecel and events such as the FIM Indoor Trial.

Joan Cusco, CEO Octagon Esedos, said: ‘With an Iberian focus to our business, we have been developing a number of sports marketing programmes for clients in the Portuguese market, both in general and with specific focus on Euro 2004. Portugal is an important property representation market for us.’
