Nokia, the world leader in mobile communications, has become the Official Multimedia Mobile Device Sponsor of The European Tour in an initial two-year agreement which will feature the most technologically advanced multimedia computers in the Nokia Nseries range.
The first sponsorship venture between Nokia and The European Tour will see demonstrations of the Nokia Nseries – in particular the Nokia N93, Nokia N80 and Nokia N73 devices – at five tournaments on The 2006 European Tour International Schedule. With the Nokia N93 you can capture and record a golf swing with 30 frames per second in DVD-like quality.
The five events – the EnterCard Scandinavian Masters, The KLM Open, the BMW International Open, the HSBC World Match Play Championship and the Volvo Masters – will act as a platform to showcase how Nokia Nseries can complement the golf game of professionals and amateurs alike.
The Nokia N93 can capture the golf swing in high resolution, allowing for vectors to be added to split screens in order to compare two golf swings. Nokia will also present the mobile section of http://www.europeantour.com/ as well as its re-designed mobile WAP site at mobile.europeantour.com
