Nike Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific Region, Gary DeStefano, today announced that Eunan McLauglin, former Nike Vice President of sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), will be promoted to Vice President of global sales, effective immediately.

McLaughlin, a native of Donegal, Ireland, joined Nike in 1998. In his new role, McLaughlin will develop and implement a global strategy that positions, promotes and strengthens the Nike brand worldwide, overseeing a global sales force. Having held positions as Vice President of sales for Nike Europe and Director of sales for Europe, McLaughlin also will focus on developing Nike’s global sales force and ensuring consistent brand presentation at retail around the world.

In Europe, McLaughlin will be replaced by Elliott Hill, who will become the new EMEA Director of sales & retail. Hill, currently European director of retail development, joined Nike 13 years ago, with experience both in Europe and in the US. Hill will focus on sales strategies that will reach our growth objectives, ensuring that the brand continues to be exciting at retail.

Prior to his affiliation with Nike, McLaughlin was partner/head of consumer and retail practices division for Korn/Ferry International from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, he held management positions in finance, marketing and sales and operations positions with Pet Foods, Pedigree Pet Foods, Mars Confectionery and the Pet Care Division from 1985 to 1996.
