The Murphy’s Irish Open will take place at Fota Island Golf Course, Cork, in 2001 and 2002. This announcement was made by Padraic Liston, Managing Director of Murphy Brewery in Ireland, Donal Ward, Managing Director of Fota Island and Dr. Tim Mahony, Chairman of Killeen Investments. This year tournament will take place at Ballybunion after four years in Druids Glen. Therefore the tournament moves to the city of Cork, home of Murphy’s Brewery.
