For the 3rd year in a row, Motors TV will be bringing extensive LIVE coverage, to all of its European viewers, of the Bathurst 1000 Km Endurance race, from Saturday night, October 11th to Sunday morning, October 12th.

Not only will the channel show the full race, but British viewers watching Motors TV on Sky Digital will also be able to follow the complete pre-race show, an additional 3 hours bringing total LIVE coverage to a ‘mere’ 10 hours for Sky viewers. ‘We will go live from the very first second of host coverage (TEN), using their very experienced commentary team, and therefore bringing a real Australian feeling to the show’ said Frédéric Viger, Motors TV Head of Programming. ’10 hours of coverage is a real challenge for us, both from a technical and personnel point of view, and also for the viewers themselves especially during the wee hours of the night, but we are very confident that the race will meet with huge success.’

This year, the Bathurst 1000 will be welcoming an impressive number of European drivers wanting to participate in this notorious event.

Jan Magnussen, Nicolas Minassian, Rickard Rydell, John Cleland and Andy Priaulx are just some of the drivers from our side of the planet who will be making the trip, adding to European viewer interest.

The ‘Greatest Touring-Car Race in the World’ will take place on Mount Panorama Circuit (New South Wales), the pre-race show will start at 22:00 UK-time and the race itself will start at 1:00, with a finish scheduled for around 08:30 on Sunday morning.

For the rest of Europe, Motors TV viewers will be able to enjoy Bathurst from the very start of the race, at 02.00 CET.

And since we respect sleepers as much as petrol-headed viewers, Motors TV will also broadcast a full repeat of the race on Sunday, October 12th, from 14.00.

Motors TV is available on Sky Channel # 416
