The Minigolf European Cup for national club champion teams is taking place in Schriesheim, Germany. Over three-days 108 players, eleven men’s and nine women’s teams will compete on the 18-hole Miniaturegolf course at MC Schriesheim, with the final played on Saturday 4 October.

Clubs from ten countries are competing this year, with teams from Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands represented.

Uppsala BGK from Sweden is the reigning men's European Cup champions, while 1.MGC Mainz from Germany is the defending women's team.

The tournament teed-off today (2 October) and there have already been an incredible six perfect ‘all hole-in-one’ rounds of 18(-18) and 23 near perfect rounds of 19(-17) scored in the first two rounds.

Michael Ritschel, President of MC Schriesheim, said "We are very excited to organise such a great Minigolf event at our course. We are very proud that the European Minigolf Sport Federation has decided to assign our club one of the main events of the 2014 minigolf season. We are sure the players will enjoy our courses and location."

The EMF European Cup is jointly organised by the DMV (German Minigolfsport Federation) and MC Schriesheim and supported by BMW Knopf, TI Automotive, Nestle Schöller and the WMF Gold Sponsors.
