The six-member IOC Doping and Biochemistry of Sport sub-commission together with seven external experts will review the scientific qualifications of the proposed testing methods to detect EPO during a two-day meeting on 31 July – 1 August in Lausanne.

The French and Australian research teams, both supported by IOC research funds, will report on the progress of their respective projects. This meeting is one of two steps these doping detection tests have to pass in order to be validated for the Olympic Games, the second step being a juridical review.

A press briefing and a press conference will be organized in connection with the meeting. The press briefing will review the procedure in place. The press conference will take place at the end of the two-day meeting to review the results.
