London: Following a decade long tenure at leading sports television company, Sportsbrand Media Group (as CEO and Marketing Director respectively), Peter Wraith and Matt Whytcross have announced the launch of their new company, Inverleigh Media Holdings.
Inverleigh is a content marketing company involved in the development, production and international distribution of programming for a range of media platforms. Wraith and Whytcross will act as Partners in the new venture.
Peter Wraith, Director, Inverleigh Media Holdings, said: “This is in many ways a natural extension of the effective management partnership that has existed between Matt and I for over eleven years. We are aware of the likely comparisons to our former company, but I think it will be clear in a short time frame that Inverleigh is a very different animal in terms of its ambition, product offering and operational direction”.
Inverleigh launches with offices in London and Melbourne with each of the partners working from either side of the globe. Wraith explains: “We’ve successfully worked together this way for a number of years and as our business is essentially international, there are definite advantages in us operating from different locations, particularly in terms of the servicing an international client base.”
The pair boast a strong pedigree in creating and marketing sports programming, however, Inverleigh promises a content offering broader than sport alone. Matt Whytcross explains: “Sport and the sports media industry is a great passion for us both, so sport is very much in the mix, but the Inverleigh strategy has a much broader scope than simply sport as a genre and television as a medium.”
“In lead up to the launch, we’ve had six-months outside the day-to-day running of business, which affords a rare opportunity to assess the industry landscape and determine how Inverleigh can best innovate and add value… we’ll be announcing some really exciting developments shortly that will no doubt raise an eyebrow or two.”
Inverleigh will announce a number of key strategic partnerships in the coming weeks and will launch a number of new programs during industry shows MIPCOM and Sportel where the partners look forward to “reconnecting with a lot of old friends” and exploring new content solutions with broadcast partners.
