The Board of Administration of the International Volleyball Federation, meeting at its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland on 5 May, unanimously decided to suspend, with immediate effect, Mr. Luis Moreno as President of the South American Volleyball Confederation (CSV) and from all his positions in Volleyball organised at national, continental and world level.

The members of the Board considered that the attitude and negligence of Mr. Moreno in the fulfilment of his duties as President of the South American Confederation have contributed to damage seriously the image and the general interest of the FIVB.

The Board decided to appoint a four-member commission of inquiry to audit the administration and accounts of the South American Confederation for the last three years.

The CSV will now have to act in conformity with article 2.6.1.2 of the FIVB Constitution to designate interim executive officers. The FIVB Constitution must be applied in case of discrepancy with the statutes of the NFs or the Continental Confederations.
