The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) can confirm that it has appointed Paul Keen as its new Finance and Commercial Director.

Keen is now firmly established in his new role as head of the LTA’s Finance, Commercial (Sponsorship and Tennis GB) and IT operations, having taken on these responsibilities in January. He aims to increase financial discipline at the LTA and identify new sources of income to complement the revenue from the Wimbledon Championships. He will report to Chief Executive John Crowther.

Prior to his appointment at the LTA, Keen was finance director for the online classified venture Fish4 Ltd and before that he held the same position at IPC Media.

Paul Keen said: “I am pleased to have joined the LTA at a time when it is clear the organisation is making great strides to become more commercially aware. My job is to ensure we have a successful and solid business platform on which to base commercial partnerships that will ensure the long term health and growth of the game.”

John Crowther, Chief Executive, said: “We have undergone a radical modernisation of our management structure over the past 12 months, including the formation of an executive management group which will be accountable for the successful delivery of our business plan. Paul will play a key role within this group and his expertise will give us the edge we need to capitalise on the type of commercial opportunities that we know are out there.”
