Event Planning Group (EPG) has announced that Craig Horobin will take up a full time role as the groups Director of Event Technology Services.

Horobin, who for the past five years has been LOCOG’s Venue Technology Lead across Press & Broadcast Operations, has a long and distinguished career in delivering technology operations across the world’s mega events.

Having recently completed the role of managing the implementation and operations of the Press and Broadcast program for technology in one of the most successful technology operations for the London 2012 Olympic Games, Horobin is highly regarded throughout the industry.

Prior to his appointment with EPG, Horobin held various senior positions within the major event landscape including the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the 2002 FIFA World Cup Japan/Korea, the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and the Doha Asian Games in Qatar.

EPG already deliver venue overlay integration services across various event platforms and technology, telecommunications & IT infrastructure elements form a very critical component of that integration. Members of the EPG team played significant roles in the delivery of the International Broadcast Centre and the Main Press Centre in London.
