Leeds Rhinos were today celebrating a double sponsorship boost after securing two new associate sponsors for the 2004 Tetley’s Super League season in deals worth over £200,000 to the club.

FPS and Kia Motors are to join the club as associate sponsors. FPS’ logo will appear on the collar of the new Rhinos principal and alternative shirt next season whilst the distinctive Kia logo will appear on the back of the shirt above the player’s name.

Kia Motors have extended their connection with Headingley to the Rhinos after beginning a three year contract with Leeds Tykes in August this year. Kia Motors has assembly operations with joint-venture partners in 12 countries around the world, contributing to local economies and providing valuable technologies and employment opportunities and also have dealerships across the north of England, including Leeds, York and Harrogate.

Commenting on the announcement Chief Executive Gary Hetherington said, ‘We are delighted to have brought on board two new associate sponsors to the club. This follows on from our new merchandise contract with Patrick and we are hoping to finalise a new contract for our main club sponsorship in the coming days. FPS have been involved with us for a number of years as corporate sponsors and it is particularly pleasing that they have decided to increase their involvement in the club. Kia Motors as sponsors of both the Rhinos and Tykes are now a major supporter of Headingley and this deal cements that relationship.’
