(Tytherington, Cheshire, January 22nd 2004) The Ladies European Tour (LET) announced today that the internationally renowned footwear brand ecco has agreed a four -year deal to become the official footwear supplier to the LET until 2007.

Founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy in Denmark, ecco is noted as one of the most innovative manufacturers of both sporting and casual footwear around the globe.

A family run business since its inception, ecco now employs over 9000 people throughout the world and produces over 12 million pairs of shoes each year making it the seventh largest casual shoe manufacturer in the world.

Within the agreement, ecco will become the official footwear
supplier to the European Solheim Cup team, both on and off course in 2005 at Crooked Stick GC, Indiana and in 2007 when the biennial event returns to European shores.

Moreover, tournament staff will wear the brand at each event and LET players will be supported by ecco for their golf footwear requirements.

ecco’s involvement with the golf industry has been longstanding and has been supported by high profile players as Thomas Björn and Iben Tinning representing the brand on their respective Tours.

Robin Gibson, Commercial Director of the LET, welcomed the Tour’s latest commercial partner on board:
